The MEDICARE Single Use Intravenous Cannula with Wings and Injection Valve for Adults is a device that is used to administer medications into the human circulatory system (peripheral veins). It provides reliable venous access, which is critical in many medical situations. This cannula is the optimal choice for healthcare professionals who are looking to provide patients with safe and effective venous access during prolonged infusions.
Advantages:
- High Biocompatibility: The catheter materials are highly biocompatible, reducing the risk of complications.
- Ease of insertion: The triangular needle point and smooth transition between the needle and catheter ensure easy and painless insertion.
- Safe: The color-coded injection valve and safety plug prevent contact with patient blood, reducing the risk of infection.
- Secure fixation: Flexible wings ensure stable fixation of the cannula, preventing its displacement.
- Visual inspection: The transparent backflow chamber and the radiopaque contrast strip allow you to monitor the correct insertion and positioning of the cannula.

Application:
- Select the desired size of intravenous cannula. Try to use the smallest cannula size to administer the necessary intravenous solutions.
- Disinfect the puncture site of the blood vessel.
- Ensure that the blister packaging of the cannula is intact and that the product has not expired.
- Remove the protective needle cap and insert the needle into the peripheral vein at an acute angle.
- Verify that blood flows into the backflow chamber. This confirms that the puncture is correct.
- Pick the catheter into the vein and at the same time carefully remove the needle.
- Do not attempt to reinsert a partially or completely withdrawn needle.
- Do not press your finger on the vein at or above the catheter insertion site. Doing so may cause blood to splash.
- Connect an infusion solution system, syringe, or Luer lock plug to the cannula.
- Dispose of the needle in an appropriate container.
- Secure the cannula with a patch.
- Intravenous cannula with a port may be injected directly into the intravenous cannula with a syringe through the port.
- When not in use, the port must be capped.
- Check the vein puncture site regularly for any reactions.
- Dispose of the cannula in accordance with the regulations after the manipulation is completed.
