Application:

• Make sure the patient is unconscious to avoid gag reflex.
• Select an appropriately sized airway by measuring the distance from the corner of the mouth to the patient's earlobe.
• Open the patient's mouth.
• Insert the airway with the concave side up, gently pushing it inward.
• When the airway reaches the soft palate, carefully rotate the airway 180 degrees so that the concave side is pointing downward and continue insertion until it is fully positioned.
• Make sure the duct is properly positioned and allows free airflow.
• If necessary, secure the duct to prevent it from shifting.
