Application:
- Make sure the affected area is clean and dry. If there are open wounds, apply a sterile dressing first.
- Begin bandaging: Start by securing the end of the bandage a few centimeters below or above the affected area, depending on the type of injury.
- Applying the bandage: Wrap the bandage around the limb, pulling it slightly to provide compression. Each successive layer should overlap the previous one by about half the width of the bandage.
- Finish: After covering the entire affected area, secure the end of the bandage by tucking it under the previous layer or using the special clips provided.
- Check: Make sure the bandage is not too tight so as not to interfere with blood circulation. The fingers of the limb should remain warm and of natural color.
