AMBU Adult Air Bag

The adult air bag (Ambu bag) is a professional device for manual artificial ventilation (ventilator). It is widely used in emergency medicine, intensive care, ambulance, and in the field or during patient transportation. It is designed to provide vital breathing support in the event of respiratory arrest, failure or other critical conditions.

Application:

• Check the integrity of the bag, mask and all valves before use.
• Connect the oxygen tubing to an oxygen source, if necessary, and set the oxygen flow accordingly.
• Position the patient on the back with the neck extended to ensure airway patency.
• Place the mask tightly over the patient's face, covering the nose and mouth, ensuring an airtight seal.
• Compress the bag evenly, observing the patient's chest rise, indicating effective ventilation.
• Allow the bag to fully expand between compressions to ensure adequate filling with air or oxygen.
• Adhere to the recommended ventilation rate: usually 10-12 breaths per minute for adults.
• If the bag is reusable, disinfect and sterilize all components according to the manufacturer's instructions.
• Dispose of disposable bags according to medical waste disposal protocols.
